Multiple firing options
Raku: We will build a small raku kiln which we will fire in the driveway.
Pit: We will do another beach pit firing. A beach picnic will take place to celebrate the firing up of the pit.
Electric: Lauren, Pedro’s wife and an amazing bead maker, with her own business called Brooklyn Beach Rocks will lead an afternoon workshop on bead making. These beads will be fired in the electric kiln.
Amenities
In addition to the beach picnic, there will be one other ensemble dinner. Breakfast supplies for the week will be provided. Attendees are on their own for lunches and dinners, but, by request, Wade Cottages staff will shop for provisions.
The Guest Cottage accommodates nine. Three shared bedrooms have twin beds. Two of these have ensuite baths. The remaining bedrooms share one full and two half- baths. If demand exceeds supply, there is an additional cottage available.
