THE GUEST COTTAGE

Located on the bluff in historic 'Sconset, we have a sweeping lawn and direct access to the beach.  While we are secluded from street and foot traffic, we are a stone's throw from the center of the village, with its small market and four restaurants.  The island shuttle bus to town runs from the village.

The Guest Cottage has been part of the Wade family compound since 1929.  It has a spectacular ocean view, and offers a taste of old 'Sconset.

THE STUDIO

The perfect summer workspace, the studio, only steps from the Guest Cottage, is protected from rain and rays, but is also open on one side, allowing the ocean breeze to keep us cool.  And fyi, there are no mosquitos.  It can accommodate up to 16 at work around tables.

Note: Clay and some tools will be provided, but participants are urged to bring their favorite tools.

WHAT THE ISLAND PROVIDES

Shells, sand, dirt, leaves, pine cones, shark and skate egg cases, and seaweed are all materials at hand for the workshop.  Collecting natural materials is easy and pleasant in this uncrowded, peaceful corner of the island.
