Pedro Ramirez is an artist who creates large-scale installation work as well as “living” ceramic vessels.  His biological work appears to exist somewhere between the convergence of art and science. Ramirez has researched and continues to conduct investigations into specific relationships that people have with living plants.

Ramirez is an educator who teaches ceramics at the college level. He has a particular interest in image transfer through the use of decals and mono prints.

Pedro Ramirez has exhibited throughout the United Stats at Planthouse, First Street Gallery, The Clay Studio of Missoula, Jane Hartsook Gallery, and Graficas Gallery to name a few.   He has created special commissions for the Living Beyond Belief Foundation.  Ramirez currently teaches beginning and intermediate level ceramics at Marymount Manhattan College, and is adjunct assistant professor at Medgar Evers College where he teaches art history.
